Research interests:
My research lies at the intersection between observational cosmology, gravitational wave science and theoretical particle physics, using and integrating methods that range from data-driven numerical codes to the implementation of theoretical bounds from high-energy physics in order to better understand gravity. I am particularly interested in the formation and evolution of structure in the Universe, as well as the related phenomenology of (and constraints from) inflation, dark energy and gravitational waves. In this context, my recent focus has been precision testing General Relativity and probing potential new gravitational physics over a vast range of scales. These range from the very largest observable scales (cosmic microwave background, large scale structure), to intermediate scales (gravitational waves emitted by black hole and neutron star binaries, solar system tests) to the very small scales associated with yet unknown UV completions for gravitational theories (particle theory bounds associated with unitarity, causality and locality).

Biography:

I joined the ICG in February 2021 as a Proleptic Senior Lecturer. Before this I was an Ernest Rutherford Fellow in DAMTP (University of Cambridge) since early 2020, following three years as a Junior Fellow at the Institute for Theoretical Studies (ETH Zurich). Going further back, I was a Research Fellow of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 & a Beecroft Fellow at the University of Oxford from 2012-2017, having received my PhD from Imperial College London in 2012.
