Speaker: Robert Crittenden
Location: Southampton Cafe Scientifique
I will be answering questions about the early Universe, and in particular about the very first light that appeared in our Universe. This light, known as the cosmic microwave background, is radiation left over from the Big Bang, and is one of our most useful tools for finding out how our Universe came to be.
Cafe Scientifique is a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to explore the latest ideas in science and technology. The Southampton branch meets usually on the second Monday on the month at 7:30, at the South Western Arms, (upstairs) 36 Adelaide Rd, St Denys, SO17 2HW.
