2012 BOSS Collaboration Meeting
The annual meeting of the Baryon acoustic Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey collaboration which makes up part of there Sloan Digital Sky Survey III. This talk was largely a statement of work to be carried out in the coming months. A variety of spectral stacking based methods which are being applied to the new BOSS data ahead of the first public release of spectroscopic data this year were described. In particular, contamination of large-scale structure by fluctuations in the extragalactic UV background was discussed. New results using Hubble Cosmic Origins Spectrograph may indicate a way forward for dealing with this contamination in BOSS data.
