Research interests: Stellar population modelling, galaxy evolution

Biography:

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Applied Physics in July 2014 and began working with Dr Daniel Thomas and Professor Claudia Maraston studying stellar population modelling shortly after. My research is funded by the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and I work primarily on the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) project MaNGA.

Qualifications: BSc Applied Physics 1st Class Honours

  • Stellar population gradients as a function of environment on 14th Sep 2015 11:00:am We plan to study the 3-dimensional distribution of stellar population properties (age, metallicity, element abundances) in MaNGA galaxies and to derive gradients. This data set allows us to simultaneously resolve the inside of galaxies together with a statistically meaningful sampling of galaxy environment.
